It’s as always all about the money. These dollars and especially euros are making that the Taiwan bike industry is changing its face. Finally, after years of decline in volume and value, more money is again coming in. And more even in double-digit percentages as between January - September 2018 the export value increased by some 15 percent. E-bikes are responsible for the turnaround of Taiwan’s industry as the market is electrifying and getting digitized. This year’s Taipei Cycle is taking place only five months after the 2018 edition. That has all to do with the organizers Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Bicycle Association (TBA) decision to turn back to the original schedule for the Taipei Cycle Show which is in March.
