People in the e-bike industry all know that in 2019, the new regulation for pedelec EN 15194:2017 will come into effect. The most essential change for EN 15194:2017 is that if an e-bike complies with EN 15194:2017, it is presumed to be in conformity with the Machinery Directive. Compliance of e-bikes with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h and maximum 250W with the Machinery Directive is a legal obligation.
Lishui Controller has established long-term cooperation with TÜV SÜD and SGS. Different production lines are tested in both companies separately. In January of 2019, Lishui Controller has already gotten the certificate for EN ISO 13849-1 which is referenced by EN 15194:2017. The qualified product with part number LD-LS01-F was already put into mass production. Before the July of 2019, Lishui controller is expected to get certificates for all production lines of e-bike 250W controllers. The complete e-bike manufacturers can buy the whole electric system which got the EN ISO 13849-1 certificate. By doing this, it is much easier for the complete e-bikes to get the new EN 15194:2017 certificate in very short time.
In 2019, Lishui Controller European office will be upgraded to an independent subsidiary. Technical engineers will oversee research and development to serve European customers directly. All the after-sale services will also be held by this new subsidiary.
